Putting People First

At Sash Window Restorations we are striving to put people’s health first.

We have adapted and responded to the COVID-19 outbreak by completing a full risk assessment throughout every area of our business.

Working responsibly and cautiously is our top priority. We have subsequently implemented the following measures and practices, to maintain the safety of our customers and staff.

Daily Health Checks

Each morning, all team members are required to sign in at our head office, rather than travelling directly to our customers properties first.

During the health check a high grade, contactless thermometer is used to ensure all members of staff have a temperature below 37.3°C, before travelling to a customer’s property.

We also conduct a questionnaire to ensure all members of staff, and any other members of their household are not showing COVID-19 symptoms. Any sign of a raised temperature, or new dry cough will require self-isolation in accordance with Government advice.

All team members are replenished with PPE supplies daily to ensure their vans are fully equipped.

Our staff health check process is conducted each morning outside, in our carpark using PPE and applied social distancing rules. A member of our team will not visit a customer’s home without passing a daily health check first.

Hygiene Is Critical

There’s a lot we still don’t know about COVID-19, but health authorities have been clear that maintaining good hygiene is vital. We are providing our craftsmen with full PPE to ensure we are maintaining the highest levels of protection and hygiene, both in and outside of our customers’ properties.

Staff member PPE

All of our craftsmen are fully equipped with the correct PPE.

Each fitting/repair team carries the following PPE to use when visiting and working in our customers’ homes:

Face masks

Hand-sanitisers

Protective gloves

Shoe covers

Sanitiser surface wipes

Onsite cleaning & sanitising

All areas that we work in at our customers properties will be cleaned with sanitiser wipes at the end of each day; this includes:

Door handles

Light switches

Taps

Surface areas

Surrounding window areas

Customer Surveys and Quotations

When we visit a customer’s home to complete a survey and provide a quotation, our surveyor will be fully equipped and wearing a facemask, protective gloves and shoe covers. As well as carrying hand, and surface sanitisers.

All surveys and appointments will be conducted in accordance with the recommended applied social distancing guidelines when working in peoples homes.

Virtual ‘estimates’ can be completed upon request; although a site visit will be required before a job can be booked in.

Installing and Repairing Sash Windows

We know that people’s day-to-day lives are disrupted right now because of COVID-19, and we’re working hard to ensure we provide a safe service for our customers and staff throughout this period.

As well as our craftsmen being fully equipped with PPE and providing a rigorous level of hygiene, we will also work around customers schedules to complete sash window repairs and fittings at times convenient for you. Allowing you the flexibility to be able to vacate the repair, or installation area, should you wish to.

We will also let each customer know the order that we plan to work through your property, to minimise any contact, maintain social distancing and help with the planning of moving any required furniture prior to our arrival.

Your Piece Of Mind

At Sash Window Restorations we are dedicated to doing everything we can to support our customers and staff throughout this period. We hope that publishing our COVID-19 Response gives you that peace of mind.

Our customer support team is available throughout the day to arrange surveys, discuss your forthcoming repairs/fittings and answer any other questions you might have right now. We’re here to help.
